Our Approach

Why Young Leaders?

"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." 2 Timothy 2:2
Jesus spent over fifty percent of his time developing twelve young men to build His kingdom after he was gone. We value the building of young men and women to help prepare them for a fruitful life of reaching and discipling others for Christ. We value environments of fellowship, nurture, education and continued spiritual growth and see them as essential for leadership development.

YLI Coaches represent various West African ethnic groups

They lead discipleship and evangelism efforts that include: education, church planting, sports ministry, clean water, micro-enterprise and Muslim outreach.

Coaches are multiplying leaders and disciple makers who have served in YLI for five or more years. They have the heart, competence and calling to develop new younger leaders (Interns) through modeling and coaching.

Interns are usually in their early 20’s and dedicate 3-5 years of their lives to grow with YLI as disciples in preparation for a lifetime of fruitful Christian leadership. Eventually, some Interns will become Coaches to the next generation.
